‘Now He Wears White’ opens with the lyrics, “Someone once told him that he looks like Elvis / so now he wears white every night / and thinks he’s Jesus” – which is possibly the most deliciously brutal take-down we’ve heard in a year of diss tracks being ping-ponged back and forth every other week or so.

It’s a fitting first taste of Eloïse‘s vivid songwriting, which is showcased throughout the single. In it, she calls into question the people we choose to put up on pedestals – before taking a hammer to said structures in the very next breath.
