Here’s an interesting (see: not very interesting) question: is Sara Diamond‘s song about actions speaking louder than words an example of actions, or words?

On one hand, songs are quite literally words accompanied by instruments.

On the other hand, writing, recording, and releasing a song that publicly airs your grievances is certainly an action, a grand one even. It’s an action that will reverberate with not just the person that the song’s directed towards, but all of the other many people that will hear it as well. And perhaps, if it’s done as clearly and impactfully as Sara does in ‘Three Words’, those lessons will stay in the minds of said people, and help prevent a few more heartbreaks in the near or distant future.

So not exactly the hardest debate, I suppose.
